Meet your new Cubmaster, Jim Shepherd

Many of you already know Jim.
But do you really know him?

I've been happily married to Jim for 13 years and I think I you can say I'm an authority. Jim is a pretty great guy. He's the kind of guy that will clear the neighbors' driveways after a storm.  Not only because he is a good Samaritan, but also because he loves using a chain saw.  He has on several occasions rushed to the rescue of a stranded driver,  literally given the shirt off his back for someone in need, and gives generously to causes he believes in.

He thinks kids are fantastic.  Not just his kids, but all kids.  When we go shopping he's the guy playing peekaboo with the infants and making them laugh.  Or distracting the kid(s) so that mom has a minute to think.  He can look very stern, which comes in handy when with one stern look kids shape up pretty quick.

He is also incredibly patient; the man has been trying to teach me how to drive a stick shift for more than 13 years.

Not that Jim is perfect. But that just makes him a lot more interesting.
